Exhibition Opens

10am - 4pm
Wednesday to Sunday
until the 25th of October
in the
Long Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre, Battery Point.
Artfully Queer is Tasmania’s longest running and biggest annual LGBTQIA+ community art exhibition produced by TasPride and curated by Phoebe Adams. The exhibition is open to all Tasmanian queer creatives with works from a wide variety of creative disciplines.
The Artfully Queer Exhibition has become an annual cultural barometer for the Tasmanian LGBTIQA+ community, with themes selected to reflect and channel the zeitgeist of the times.
THEME
After consulting with artists and creatives from the 2025 Artfully Queer Exhibition the theme chosen for 2026 is LOVE, because the world needs more of it!
WHO CAN ENTER
Artfully Queer is open to all LGBTIQA+ Tasmanian creatives, and our families.
You must be a TasPride member to enter your art in the exhibition.
Under 18's do not need to be a member to enter their art in Artfully Queer.
If you are experiencing financial hardship you can enter for free.
Inclusion is our goal.

ARTISTS IN THE NORTH OF TASMANIA
Artists living in the north of Tasmania can also enter their art in the exhibition. We have artwork collection points at Burnie and Launceston Working It Out Offices. If not sold, artwork will be returned to the collection points after the show.
BURNIE artwork drop off: 4-5:30pm Wednesday 23rd of September.
Working It Out Burnie office 29 Wilson St, Burnie.
LAUNCESTON artwork drop off: 2-5pm Wednesday 23rd September.
Working It Out Launceston office, Kilby's Lane, 56 Cimitere St, Launceston.
ARTISTS IN THE SOUTH OF TASMANIA
HOBART artwork drop off 10am-2pm Wednesday 7th October.
Long Gallery, 1st floor, Salamanca Arts Centre, 65-77 Salamanca Place, Hobart.

We will also live stream art prize presentations at the exhibition opening for those that can't make it in to the gallery on opening night (6:30pm Friday 9th October 2026)
