Artfully Queer is open to all Tasmanian LGBTQ creatives and our families. All mediums and levels of ability are welcome. This years theme is TRANSFORM and we ask exhibitors to consider the theme and respond to it in their work or choice of entry. To enter your art, craft, design work into this years Artfully Queer exhibition at the Long Gallery (Salamanca Arts Centre) simply become a member of TasPride and then fill out the Entry Form when we release them late July. TasPride members pay no entry fee to exhibit in Artfully Queer. To become a TasPride member, exhibit in Artfully Queer for free, help out your LGBTQ community, and also receive discounted entry to TasPride events, click here. Money's collected via membership or entry fees go towards exhibition expenses such as hiring the gallery space. TasPride is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers who's mission is to create opportunities to bring our community together. Your membership fee helps us to achieve this goal.
The Artfully Queer - TRANSFORM Exhibition and Arts Program Opens at 6pm on Friday the 9th of September and runs until to the 25th of September 2022 at the Long Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre, Hobart.
There are a number of prizes awarded to artists at the Artfully Queer Exhibition Opening such as the Best in Show Prize, Best 2D, Best 3D and other discretionary prizes. There is also the annual Unifying Voice Perpetual Trophy awarded by Working It Out Inc. Prize categories usually relate to how well the theme is addressed by the entered work. If you're not feeling competitive you can opt out of having your work considered for a prize on you entry form.
