WORKING BEES!

World Pride Parade is just around the corner and with the eyes of the queer world upon us we need to make our float pop! We have around 35 flags to produce and we need you, to join the working bee to produce them. Last working bee was great fun and it was awesome to get to know some of the folks we’ll be marching with. You don’t need any experience with textiles to help out, beginners welcome but if a you do have some pattern pinning and sewing machine experience then we could really do with your skill / hands and / or machine.

Important Information:

We will be meeting at 12pm on Saturday the 25th prior to the parade. All participants should be in Sydney by the morning of the 25th at the latest.

Dress Code:

Participants are required to provide and wear

Rainbow or Fluro socks
Black pants or skirt or shorts (bottoms)
Black shoes

T-Shirts:

$30.00. Please provide your size and number needed to info@taspride.com. Payments can be arranged during our working bees.

Wristbands:

Please provide your wrist measurement in cm and advise whether you have any feather or adhesive allergies.

Flags:

Each participant is invited to create their own queer and personal political message (7 words or less) which will be printed on one side of their flag.

Choreography is HERE! Videos are now available so you can practice at your own pace. We will have at least one practice before the Parade so you will need to feel comfortable with the routine prior to this. The song we will be using is "Go Bang" by Pnau, link here.
