TASMANIAN LGBTI+ AWARDS
Please come and join Red Thread and Taspride on World Aids Day to announce the winners of the Annual Tasmanian Pride Awards. These awards are a celebration of individuals and organizations who are making a difference for the LGBTIQ+ Community

TasCAHRD and TasPride are excited to Launch the Tasmanian pride awards. To be held on December 1st as part of TasCAHRD world AIDS day events.
The Tasmanian pride awards will celebrate those striving to improve the community.
The seven award categories are:
Lifetime Achievement - for sustained contribution to LGBTIQ+ initiatives and community
Community Support - for an organization or initiative that has encouraged the community by providing resources and spaces for community activities and events.
Artistic Merit - for an artist who has entertained the community as a musician, drag artist, cabaret, painter, sculptor, writer, or any category of art, or as a driving force behind an artistic event
Sports Achievement – for an individual, team or organisation who has been open and accepting and made great strides to be inclusive and embrace members of the community
Outstanding Organisation – for a commercial, community, government organisation or business that supports the community, provide a supportive structure within the work environment, or are peer-run
Outstanding Ally – for someone who is not directly part of the community but who provides ongoing support to the community
Youth Advocate – for a young person who has made contributions or developed programs for the community

We are asking the community to nominate a person, team or organisation they believe is most deserving for each category.
Awards judging
All award submissions Will be judged by a panel of community members made up of the Taspride Board representatives from TasCAHRD and other representatives, at the discretion of Taspride.
