Do I have to register?

Yes. We will be organising a large number of people who are participating in our float. It is important that we can contact you so we can get you ready for the time of your life! It is important that you register BEFORE 12am Monday 9 February 2009. Please register now.

What do I wear?

You can wear any amount of clothing as long as it is black. We want you to feel comfortable as you strut your stuff! We will be providing you with accessories that will make you part of our group. Costumes are being designed now and we will have photos online soon.

Will there be rehearsals?

Yes! Our marching routine will include some very simple choreography. We are giving you flexible opportunities to practice with us. We strongly encourage ALL participants from Hobart to attend at least one practice session each week. Rehearsals will commence at the beginning of February 2009.

What if I cannot attend the rehearsals?

Obviously if you do not live in Hobart, it is not possible for you to attend our practice sessions. Don't panic! The choreography will be very simple and you will have time to practice with the whole group in the marshalling area before the parade starts. We will also be putting video on this web site so you can practice in your bedroom!

How do I get my costume accessories?

We will be giving you your costume accessories at a future practice session. If you live outside of Hobart and cannot attend rehearsals, we will post your costume accessories to you.

What do I do on the day of the parade?

Mardi Gras are yet to brief us about the specific requirements of the parade. Once you register, we will keep you up-to-date via email and SMS. The latest information will be posted on this web site so you should always check back here regularly. From previous experience, you will be required to be in our marshalling area in full costume around 4 or 5 pm on Saturday 7 March 2009. The parade will most likely conclude around 11 pm.
