If you would like to march, or help us out, you can register your interest online now.
But don’t stop at yourself, get as many friends and family to join you. Because if there’s one thing we know, you won’t want to miss sharing this experience with them.
Don't delay! Registrations close 31 January 2010.
Tassie Convicts
The theme for the next Tassie float is going to be based on Tasmanian Convicts. We always have a theme that iconically represents Tasmania and we always design costumes that are sexy and look fantastic, no matter who's wearing them. In 2010, Tasmania will be doing it harder than ever!
Costumes are still being developed, but we’re pretty sure you’ll look sexy in your shackles.
Highlights from previous years
The Tamanian float in the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade is one of our signature events of the year. Hundreds of photos and a video documentary of our previous floats are in our gallery.

What is it like?
Just under 10,000 people marched in pride and celebration at the 2009 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade in front of hundreds of thousands packed into central Sydney. The Tasmania float is always very well received my the cheering crowds. Our winning formula is to always have a lot of fun and interaction with the parade spectators.
Only those who have walked in the parade, can understand the true buzz you feel as over half a million people join you in the biggest celebration of the year. Marching in the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade is a thrilling experience and is one that you will never forget.
