Welcome to the 2023 TasPride Festival Parade and Party in the Park.  

Parade Details:

  • The marshalling point for the Parade is on the corner of Elizabeth and Patrick Streets, Hobart.

  • Marshalling commences at 12 noon.  All participants must be in the marshalling area by 12.45pm for a safety briefing.

  • We will then sashay our way through Hobart along Elizabeth, Liverpool and Murray Streets, finishing with Party in the Park at Franklin Square.


  • Parade starts at 1:00pm sharp


  • We require everyone to register so we can place groups and individuals into the various march spots.

  • For group registration please click the "Group" button. For Individuals please click the "Individual" button.

  • For those wishing to apply for a stall please click the "Expression of Interest" button.

Join us for the official opening of the festival will commence with our Flag Raising Ceremony at Town Hall.

The unfurling will commence at 12:30pm followed by speeches and refreshments in the Lord Mayor’s Court.

There's only ONE way to celebrate an OPENING...And get your minds out of the gutter, we're talking about cocktails to celebrate the start of the 2023 TasPride's Festival!

Come and join us with your friends at the beautiful Rosny Barn on the Eastern shore and celebrate the opening of another fantastic TasPride Festival.

Enjoy the grazing table, with drinks for purchase at the bar, including a few very queer themes designer cocktails fust for the occasion.

With live music from Twisted Scissors, the festive cocktail ambience is waiting for you.

Rainbow Beaches

Presented by Rainbow Beaches with the Support of Surf Life Saving Tasmania

Bicheno SLSC, Bridport SLSC, Burnie SLSC, Boat Harbour SLSC, Calton Park SLSC, Clifton Beach SLSC, Devonport SLSC, Kingston Beach SLSC, Penguin SLSC, Port Sorell SLSC, Somerset SLSC, Scamader SLSC and Ulverstone SLSC.

Our volunteers will be supporting TasPride and the LGBTQIA+ community across the state through our 14 patrolled beaches.

Junior Judy's is back to provide a safe space for queer youth to have a party. A Drag and Dance Party for under 25 year olds in nipaluna/Hobart! This will be an alcohol and drug free event for all ages up to 25 to celebrate Pride!

The guest judges will announce the winners at 11:00am


This is our 11th Cake bake-off in remembrance of Chris Jackman,      hosted by the Farmgate market. This competition was hotly contested last year.   Will this be your year to be named Tasmania’s best Queer  Baker?


Prize Categories are Grand Prize Winner, Best Incorporation of the    Festival Theme (Tasmania Transforms) and Young Persons Prize. All      Prizes generously donated by Farmgate Market and TasPride


All cakes will be shared with the LGBTIQ+ and Market Patrons for a  gold coin donation. All funds raised go to Working It Out.

Fireworks Cruise and Dancing on the Derwent

TasPride takes over Peppermint Bay's luxurious catamaran for one night only, casting off towards a glorious sunset cruise up the Derwent.

Our 'hostess' Miz Ima Starr and 'most-est' DJ Twingon will be acting as your cruise directors, curating fun, games, tunes and cameo performances from some very special guests.

Hearty canapes and jolly shipboard fun are all included in your ticket price, and our craft has a well-stocked cash and card bar to suit every taste.
See our Bridge lit up in Rainbow colours, and enjoy the Regatta Fireworks from the best vantage point in Hobart. Dress to impress, mingle dance and hit the waters - but not literally!

Join us for TasCAHRD's free online training about blood borne viruses - how they affect Tasmanians and the impact of stigma and discrimination to accessing healthcare.

Help reduce HIV and Hepatitis transmissions by updating your knowledge and celebrating how far we have come in treatment and prevention! All participants recieve a certificate.

Everyone is invited to our annual picnic, including your fave fur baby. Bring a picnic rug, snacks, drinks, umbrella and dress for the weather. Enjoy the TasPride BBQ and entertainment including music, stalls, games and don't forget to dress to impress (you and your fur baby) for the very silly Big Gay Pet Parade!

This picnic honours Madge Lowestoft, an adored community elder who's kindness, generosity and welcoming nature will be sorely missed.

Young LGBTQIA+ Tasmanians are invited to come to The Link's weekly free lunch and join a workshop to learn about recording for podcasts/radio, share your story and share snacks. 

This Way/That Way is a weekly show on Edge Radio 99.3fm discussing sexual and reproductive health, relationships and culture. This event is specifically for LGBTQIA+ identified young people (16-25)
