For over two decades and counting TasPride has provided a voice and close knit community for LGBTQI Tasmanians and their friends. Today, we are stronger than ever!
We’re passionate and dedicated to celebrating, uniting and promoting the Tasmanian Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer community. We do this by providing opportunities for everyone to come together and share our collective pride!
We're here to support, unite, champion and celebrate our lives, goals, achievements and love.
Every February we host the colourful TasPride Festival as well as several other events throughout the year. We also promote a wide range of activities produced all year round by the many GLBTIQ organisations in Tasmania.
Membership is open to all members of the GLBTIQ community and friends and supporters, both here in Tassie and across the country.
So, we're just gonna come out and say it – we may not have hit the mark at the 2019 Queens Ball, but we are back with a bigger, bolder and brighter Ball this year after careful consideration and plenty of creative mojo!
This year we've worked with an all new venue - O Bar to ensure a huge night!
Forget what you know about the former space beacuse that's not where we're heading! The new O Bar is under all new ownership. It is now located above Post Street Social, and the managment, staff and team there are both excited and delighted to host us.
Their management's ethusiasm has seen them engage with Working it Out to ensure they have a broad understanding and total appreciation for the unique needs of our beautifully diverse community.
Remember, it's your Queens Ball and all proceeds go back into Taspride to ensure we can continue to show the rest of the country what a proud GLBTQI+ island we are. So grab some friends and let's raise the roof!
Sept 3-30 2021
Our beautiful island is awash with talented queer creatives and our Artfully Queer Exhibition & Arts Program at the Long Gallery (Salamanca Arts Centre) aims to showcase their work in all it's glory and diversity.
This years theme is "Home", because there's no place like it!
As a member of TasPride, your say is vital to how we move forward and grow. Our community meetings are a perfect opportunity to bring some fresh ideas to the table while meeting some fantastic people.
You're already part of our big, colourful and proud-as-punchTasmanian LGBTQI family, and we'd love you to join us as a TasPride member. C'mon, let us put a ring on it.
