Queen's Ball 2010

The Queens Ball is one of the longest standing and most-anticipated fundraising events on the GLC Centre calendar. There is no doubt the Queens Ball is one event ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY comes out for. The entire community, their friends and family are welcome.

And guess what - this year we've LOWERED THE TICKET PRICES. Yep, you heard us right! We're stepping back into the time-machine for last-century ticket prices...starting at only $15 for GLC Centre member presales.

But what about the theme? In 2010, we are taking you to the place where costume lovers play - SPACE. Moonwalk to the space station at Tattersalls Hotel for fun and frivolity hub in Curly’s Bar, hot gossip in the open-plan Rooftop Bar – with dancing and chill space (if you'll pardon the pun) inside, and films on the big screen outside. Entertainment

This year’s festivities will again be hosted by Tasmania’s very own dragalicious cosmonauts Miz Ima Starr and Virginia Hamm, so be sure to bring extra oxygen supply!

Queens Ball 2010 will present the very best local DJ talent, with the line-up to be released soon.

Costume Competition

Due to YOUR overwhelming positive feedback, the costume competition parade will be returning in all its crazy, colourful, messy glory. Cash prizes are up for grabs as we try to top last year's catwalk display. More

Space Theme

Need some ideas for a costume? We’re flat out trying to dress up the venue, but we did take a few minutes to Google some websites that we think will help you pull something magnificent together. More
