Mat Williams - committeeMat has been actively involved in TasPride since late 2008, officially joining the committee in July 2009 to contribute more to the GLTBIQ community in Tasmania. Mat started running themed events and social activities for the GLBTIQ community in Launceston because there weren't any to attend while he was living there. In 2007, Mat move to Hobart, but still worked out of Launceston continuing to deliver events specifically for a GLBTIQ audience. It is fitting that Mat comes to the committee with a real knowledge and commitment to the community in the north and he has been integral in the role out of TasPride events in Launceston. Mat is also big on promoting Tasmania when working in Melbourne on various clubs and organisations. He is often responsible for bringing interstate entertainment and talent to Launceston through his events. |
