Jade O'Sullivan - secretary

Jade answered the call of TasPride when at the 2008 Queen's Ball a friend said: "you should join the GLC Committee: we really need more girls".

Jade has been the official Secretary of TasPride since late 2008 and is part of the Bingo, Queer Quiz Nite, Artfully Queer and Queen's Ball sub-committees.  She is also the regular 'proofer extraordinaire' for grant applications, bulletin content and external documents. 

Jade says that being a part of TasPride has been incredibly rewarding, really hard work and a great experience – especially as her first experience working on a community group committee. 

"The people are lovely… and the outcomes just so positive.  It has been amazing to see the festival grow 100 per cent plus from last year… and slightly scary to think what it might evolve into next year. But, it is so exciting to know that I've contributed to developing events for our community."
